PGCAP is the admission process conducted through the Centralized Admission Process by Calicut University. The CAP process enables students to submit applications to various colleges and programmes under Calicut university. The University of Calicut is a state university and offers a range of undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma and doctoral programmes. There are 35 departments, divided into 9 schools such as Engineering, Science, Law, Commerce and Management to name a few.

Eligibility Criteria for PGCAP

The University of Calicut offers over 30 MA specializations, 35 MSC specializations and 35 MTech specializations to applicants:

  • MA courses: the minimum eligibility criteria is an aggregate of 45% in the respective bachelor’s degree from a recognized board or university.
  • MSc courses: candidates are required to score a minimum of 55% in their respective bachelor’s degree from a recognized board or university.
  • MTech courses: to be eligible for MTech courses candidates are required to score a minimum of 55% in their BTech or BE degree.

Application Process

The application process for Calicut PGCAP is online. Students are required to apply for PGCAP along with course-specific exams conducted by the universities. Following is the step for the application process to Calicut University:

Step 1: Log on to the official website to create a CAP ID by providing the basic details. For this candidates must click on the ‘New User (Create CAP ID)’ on the registration page.

Step 2: CAP ID and mobile number will be sent to the mobile number after a successful registration.

Step 3: candidates should log in and fill the application form by entering the required data.

Step 4: After registering, candidates should click on the ‘Finalise & Proceed to Payment’ button and make payment.
