Application Form

- To register yourself click on the ‘Admission’ and then on ‘Apply’
- You have to register yourself via a contact number and email id
- After the submission, you will receive NEE login credentials on your email & contact number
- Fill in the form and choose your desired program & check your eligibility
- Upload all the documents like an identification card, Picture, signature & academic details
- Save & continue to proceed to payment
- You can pay via debit card /credit card/ Net banking
Application Fee
There is an application fee for students who wish to apply in the NIRST. All interested candidates must submit the application fee on time. It is mentioned below:
- For General / OBC category candidates the Application fee for the NERIST is Rs 1000/-
- For the ST/SC/PD category candidates the application fee is Rs. 600/-

NERIST Entrance Exam
To get admission in NERIST you have to take an entrance exam organized by the university. Interested students have to apply for it on the university website. NERIST entrance exam has three modules NEE-I, NEE-II, and NEE-III
- NEE – I: This module has 3 sections of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and a total of 150 questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- NEE – II (PCM / PCB): This module has 3 sections of physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, and a total of 150 questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- NEE – II (Vocational): This module has 4 sections of physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, Vocational subject, and a total of 150 questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
- NEE – III: This module has 4 sections of physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology, branch subject, and a total of 150 questions. The duration of the exam is 3 hours.
Seat Quota
At NERIST 80% of seats are reserved for the candidates of the 8 North Eastern States under state quota. On merit basis 07% reservation for Permanent Residence Certificate. For candidates who belong to any of the States of India 10% of seats are reserved. Physical locomotor Disabled get 3% quota. Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandit/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in Kashmir Valley can get 10% relaxation in cut-off subject to the minimum eligibility requirement
