Naropa Fellowship Program

The Naropa Fellowship program has four major parts in the curriculum, that are Entrepreneurship, Communication Skills, Personal Growth, and Society & Culture. These modules are covered in a span of 8 terms of 6 weeks each, thus, the overall duration of the fellowship is 12 months. Each term is structured in a comprehensive way, which provides 5-8 courses with live-action projects.

The Himalayan region including Ladhalk is facing escalating challenges in professional skills, unemployment and lack of training. Another major pattern observed by experts is the erosion of Ladhaki society in the Himalayan region. Students getting this scholarship are expected to look after the socio-economic activities and developments in the Himalayan region. 

Naropa Fellowship 2021: Eligibility Criteria

The students who want to apply for the Naropa Fellowship 2021, must fulfil the following prerequisite conditions:

• The student who is applying for the fellowship programme must have completed graduation or post-graduation in any discipline, from a recognised institution.
• Applicants must possess a strong academic record and extra-curricular engagement.
• Candidates must have a sense of purpose and dedication to working towards the upliftment of Ladakh and the Himalayan Region.

Naropa Fellowship 2021: How to Apply?

The students can apply to the Naropa Fellowship 2021 program only through online as well as offline mode. Given below is a stepwise guide for the same:

Online Mode of Application

Step 1: Students must register themselves on the official website of the Naropa Fellowship.

Step 2: After registration, candidates must sign up and complete the application form.

Step 3: Upload academic and identity proofs and submit the form. 

Step 4: Next step would be an interview with team Naropa either in person or over skype. 

Offline Mode of Application

Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website of the fellowship and download the application form.

Step 2: Take the printout of the form and fill it manually. 

Step 3: Send the filled application form at the – Naropa Fellowship Campus, Hemis, Leh Ladakh -194201. 

Step 4: Candidate will have to go through an interview either through skype or in-person as the last part of the application.

Selection Procedure

Naropa organises the admission process for its Fellowship program on a rolling basis and the shortlisted candidates are called for an interview session. The selection of the fellows is finalised after a series of evaluations for the Naropa Fellowship programme. In the application form only, candidates are expected to write a few short answers. These play a vital role in the selection of candidates as they evaluate the verbal, written and analytical skills of an applicant.

Fees and Scholarships

The total fee for the 1-year Naropa Fellowship academic program stands to be Rs. 10 lakhs. It accepts 70 students in a group. Each fellow which is admitted is awarded one of the given below scholarships on the basis of their need and merit in recognition of their future potential:
