1985 –  86 people were killed in India by Booby trap bomb

1987 – In Punjab presidential rule was imposed.

1993 – Fire in Bangalore’s toy factory killed around 200 people.

1998 – India was successful in carrying out a nuclear test  at Pokhran

1999 – In India, May 11 is marked as National Technological Day because India witnessed the biggest technological advancement first indigenous aircraft “Hansa III” at Bangalore, and on the same day test firing of the Trishul missile was also successful.

1999- Verdict on Rajiv Gandhi assassination by Supreme Court of India.

2012 – A group of Chinese scientists registered a new world record by using quantum teleportation for transferring photons over 97 kilometers.
