With nearly 700k followers on Youtube, Malvika Sitlani started her journey from India’s Next Top Model and since then has tapped into various roles like social media influencer, beauty blogger and actor. Her amazing makeup tutorials and enthralling fashion sense have made her one of the popular beauty bloggers in India. Early Life and Education 

Malvika often shares her life stories and experiences on her Youtube channel; her candid nature, welcoming persona and expertise in the beauty industry are the reasons for her success. Born in Dubai in 1992 to Deepak Sitlani and Jenifer Sitlani (former model and popular food blogger), her family moved to Mumbai where she went to school at Bai Avabai Framji Petit Girls’ High School. After finishing school, she studied mass media at the R. D. National & W. A. Science College in Mumbai.

Personal Life

Malvika has two brothers and her younger brother, Jake is a successful Youtuber, social media influencer and the founder of Crash Boom Bang. Malvika and her brother are not the only social media stars in their family; their mother, Jenifer Sitlani who was a former model and runs a successful food channel called Jen’s Kitchen. Falling in love with her elder brother’s best friend and having a love story straight out of a romance novel, Malvika married Akhil Aryan in 2020.

From Model to Youtuber

By the age of 19, Malvika decided to pursue her career in acting and even went for several auditions but nothing really came of it. She soon decided to follow in her mother’s footsteps and entered the world of pageantry. Malvika had a rough start, though she won four titles (the first-ever contestant to do so) at Femina Miss India Pune, she didn’t win the competition. She tried for several pageants like Miss Diva but was left dejected. The budding style icon didn’t give up despite the feelings of rejection and the harsh reality of the pageantry world; her breakthrough came when she won the title of Femina Style Diva Pune which got her several opportunities and she entered the modelling world. 

Even though her modelling was a success, the work was erratic and Malvika wanted more financial stability. This was a particularly dark time in Malvika’s life so she started a blog, entered prestigious India’s Next Top Model in 2015 and ultimately started a Youtube channel. 

YouTube became her ultimate saviour, she started posting makeup tutorials simultaneously learning about the craft. She shot her first video with her iPhone as The brilliant makeup artist had no formal training in the art, she learned makeup techniques from her favourite YouTubers like Carli Bybel, Manny MUA and Jaclyn Hill. Her Youtube career has seen many ups and downs yet she did not give up. Her consistency, loyalty to her fans and devotion to her career has made her one of the most popular Indian Youtubers. Her tough journey paid off when she amassed a loyal fan base and won awards like Cosmopolitan Best Beauty Blogger Award 2019 and Elle’s Beauty Blogger of the Year Awards 2019.
