Course Structure

The program includes 8 courses in total, 7 are taught courses offered by the Law Department at LSE Law courses. The courses and curriculum are revised every year by the faculty members. Students can choose up to 2 taught from another department like non-Law or masters-level courses. The program includes Legal Research and Writing Skills wherein students have to write a 10,000-word dissertation on a topic of their choice under the supervision of a faculty member.

The university employees a ‘first-come, first-served when it comes to selecting specializations and courses in the department. The taught courses are assessed by written examination in May/June while some courses are assessed through essays. The final dissertations are submitted in August.

• Minimum Qualification Required: Bachelor of Law (LL.B)
• One must be qualified in IELTS or TOEFL and PTE to get admission in the LLM program.

Indian Student Eligibility

• The student should have passed from a reputed senior secondary school or equivalent (those applying for a postgraduate program must have graduated from a university or college).
• Students should have completed a bachelor’s degree with a grade point average of 3.00 or 60% in the final years of the program.
