About LLM in Corporate Law

Masters of Law (LLM) in Corporate Law is a 2-year postgraduate degree that is carried on through a semester based approach. It covers disciplines of Corporate Law like securities regulation, mergers and acquisitions, accounting, corporate taxes and finances etc.

LLM in corporate law aims at educating the students about matters concerning the corporate sector and constructing strategies for various legal issues. The course is designed to develop the knowledge required to govern and manage the legal and economical operations of companies.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for LLM in Corporate Law may vary from one university to another. Following is the basic eligibility requirements for LLM in Corporate Law:

  • 5-year Integrated Law course- The candidate must have completed their 10+2 education or equivalent exam from a recognised board with a specified minimum score.
  • Candidates must have completed a 3 year Law course or an LLB (Bachelor of Laws) or an equivalent degree from a recognised university at the undergraduate level. 
  • Candidates have to submit scores of entrance tests conducted specifically for admission to Law courses. Some major Law entrance tests include CLAT-PG, AILET PG, IPU-CET, MH CET or any other university-specific entrance exam.
  • Candidates willing to apply to LLM in Corporate Law in abroad universities have to provide LSAT scores or any other entrance exam scores specified by your chosen university. Additionally, language proficiency scores of IELTS/TOEFL are also a prerequisite.
