    Henry Ford (the founder of Ford Motors) took his 1st Ford through the streets of Detroit on June 4, 1896.
  • 1934: Dr Frederick Banting
    The Government of Canada granted Dr Fredrick Banting (co-discoverer of insulin) a lifetime annuity to continue his work. In 1934, he was knighted by King George V.
  • 1940:  “Miracle of Dunkirk”
    British completed the “Miracle of Dunkirk” by evacuating 338,200 allied troops from France via a flotilla of over 800 vessels, on June 4, 1940.
