MS Dhoni
Born on 7th July 1981, Mahendra Singh Dhoni is regarded as one of the best cricketers and captains of the Indian cricket team. It was under his captaincy that India won the world cup in 2011, with Dhoni hitting the winning stroke. Although Dhoni started focussing on cricket from his schooldays, he did not put a full stop to his education. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree from St. Xavier’s College in Ranchi. He was bestowed with the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel by the Territorial army in 2011, making him the second cricketer in India to become a recipient of this honour. MS Dhoni is among the best IPL players along with being the captain of the Chennai Super Kings team in the IPL.
Murali Vijay
Murali Vijay was born on 22nd November 1984 in Tamil Nadu and started playing cricket from the age of 17. He plays as a right handed opening batsman of the Indian team in international cricket. Although he was not among the brilliant students in school, this highly qualified IPL player holds a postgraduate degree in Economics. He is an alumni of the Vivekananda College in Mylapore, Chennai which is well known for promoting sports – especially cricket. He has played for the Chennai Super Kings, Delhi Daredevils and Kings XI Punjab teams in the different seasons of the IPL.

Suresh Raina
The first player to score 5000 runs in the IPL, Suresh Raina was born on 27 November 1986 in Uttar Pradesh. One of the best IPL players, this left handed batsman is also among the best fielders in international cricket. He has attended the Guru Gobind Singh Sports College in Lucknow and has also completed his BCom degree with correspondence from the Delhi University. He has played as part of the team of Chennai Super Kings and Gujarat Lions in the earlier seasons of IPL. Although this famous Indian cricketer announced his retirement from international cricket on 15th of August 2020, he will still be playing for the Chennai Super Kings team in the IPL.

Ajinkya Rahane
Born on 6th June 1988 in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra, Ajinkya Madhukar Rahane is the current vice captain of the Indian cricket team in test cricket. He made his international cricket debut in 2011 against England. Rahane completed his schooling from the SV Joshi High School in Dombivli, Maharashtra. He also holds a bachelor’s degree in Commerce from a university in Mumbai. One of the successful IPL players, Rahane has played for the teams of Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals and Rising Pune Supergiant in earlier seasons of the IPL. He is also the first batsman to have hit 6 fours in a single over in an IPL match.

Ravichandran Ashwin
Ravichandran Ashwin was born on 17th September 1986 in Tamil Nadu. He completed his schooling from the Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan and the St. Bede’s Anglo Indian Higher Secondary School in Chennai, with the latter having a prominent role in his career. He completed his graduation with a B.Tech in Information Technology from Sri Sivasubramaniya Nadar College of Engineering in Chennai. As an IPL Player, he started his career as part of the Chennai Super Kings and has also played for Rising Pune Supergiants and Kings XI Punjab in subsequent seasons of the IPL.

Sourav Ganguly
A retired cricketer and the current president of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Sourav Ganguly was born on 8th July 1972 in Kolkata. This former Indian captain is considered to have been one of the leading batsmen in the world during his career. The educational qualifications of this cricketer is as impressive as his career achievements. Ganguly completed his graduation with a BCom degree from the St. Xavier’s College in Kolkata. He also later received an honorary PhD degree. As an IPL player, he started as the captain of the Kolkata Knight Riders team and had also played for Pune Warriors India. He announced his retirement from cricket in 2012.
