IIAD Entrance Exam
The Indian Institute of Art and Design (IIAD) conducts an entrance test in collaboration with the Kingston School of Art at Kingston University in London to admit students to its undergraduate and postgraduate design programs. It is a two-hour and thirty-minute written test that assesses applicants’ drawing and design abilities, imaginative and creative expression, observation skills, communication, and visual abilities. After the written exam, a personal interview or studio simulation round is conducted.

Eligibility
Applicants are advised to check the eligibility criteria before applying for the IIAD Entrance Exam. Eligibility criteria differ from one course to the next. Here is the eligibility of IIAD for different courses:
Eligibility Criteria for the UG Courses
Candidates who have passed Class XII examinations in any field (Science, Commerce, Humanities, or Arts) from any of the boards of education listed below are eligible for the IIAD Entrance Exam:.
- Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE)
- Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE)
- Indian State Boards
- National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS)
- International Baccalaureate (IB)
- Cambridge International Examinations (CIE)
- Or any other approved National or International Board of Education
IIAD Lateral Entry Admission
Candidates can also apply for direct admission to the IIAD’s second-year design programs. Candidates must have completed the first year of their design diploma/degree program from a national or internationally recognized design college to be eligible for IIAD lateral entry admissions. IIAD lateral entry admissions in 2021 will be based solely on a candidate’s performance in the personal interview and portfolio evaluation rounds.

Candidates must have passed an undergraduate test (or equivalent) in any discipline from a recognized institution or university to be eligible for the IIAD Entrance Exam 2021. Candidates who will be taking their undergraduate exams in 2021 are also eligible to apply.

Admission Process
In order to participate in the IIAD admission process 2021, candidates must complete the processes outlined below.
Step 1: Fill out the application form of the Entrance Exam
Candidates must first complete out the IIAD test application form in either an online or offline method in order to apply for admission to the college’s design programs. Candidates must first register for the IIAD test on the college’s admissions site (www.applytoiiad.com), and then fill out and submit the IIAD Entrance Exam application form online. Candidates can pay the IIAD Entrance Exam 2021 application fee online using any major bank’s credit, debit, or net banking capabilities. Candidates can get the IIAD entrance test 2021 application forms from the following location to apply offline:

Step 2: Obtain a copy of the Admit Card
The admit card for the IIAD Entrance Exam 2021 may be downloaded from the institute’s official website by all students who have successfully registered for the exam. The IIAD admission card is a required document to bring to the IIAD Entrance Exam location.
Step 3: Give the IIAD Entrance Exam
For UG program admissions, candidates must take either the iDAT (IIAD Design Aptitude Test) or the iMAT (IIAD Management Aptitude Test).
Step 4: Register in the Studio Simulation/Personal Interview Round.
Students must attend studio simulation (for UG candidates) or personal interview (for PG candidates) rounds after passing the written design entrance test.
Step 5: Check your IIAD Entrance Exam Result
Candidates can secure a place in one of IIAD’s design programs based on their performance in the written entrance test, as well as in the studio simulation and portfolio assessment rounds. The IIAD entrance test result is announced on the college’s official website when all of the rounds have been completed.
