Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test (HPCET) is organized by Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU). Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test exam is conducted in offline mode, for admission to the participating engineering colleges of the state. HPCET Application Process

The HPCET exam application form is generally released in the month of March. Each aspiring applicant has to submit this application form. The application form can be filled both online and offline but must be submitted before the deadline. HP CET Online Application Form

All the candidates are advised to fill the form by following the understated steps:

1. Candidates have to apply by logging on to the HPTU website and search for the application form and fill all the necessary details asked.
2. Candidates have to fill the application form carefully, providing all the mandatory details like name, personal details, contact, etc.
3. After filling the application form, candidates have to complete the application process by paying the registration fee. Candidates can use Net banking, debit/credit card or e-challan(offline).

HP CET Offline Application Form

1. HPCET form can be obtained from Himachal Technical Institute or can be downloaded from the official website. 
2. All the required details should be filled accurately.
3. The payment can be done using the e-challan method.

The application fee for HPCET is as follows:

HPCET Eligibility Criteria

There are some prescribed conditions and procedures that each of the admission seeking candidates must meet so as to be considered eligible for admission processes.

Qualifying Examination

• Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
• Candidates must have knowledge of Mathematics and Physics and should have studied the same as a compulsory subject along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects.
• Candidates from General Category should have scored minimum 45 percent aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
• Candidates from Reserved category should have secured minimum 40 percent aggregate marks.

Note: Candidates who have passed JEE Mains are eligible for direct examination.

HPCET Results and Counselling

The results can be accessed from the official website after the declaration. The merit list is displayed at the University notice board as well as published on the website. 

First two rounds are reserved counselling for allocation of seats to candidates based upon their JEE Mains score. If the seats are left, HPCET merit ranks are considered while allocation. Candidates are advised to visit the official website to get a clearer idea about the counselling process.
