The HPCET exam application form is generally released in the month of March. Each aspiring applicant has to submit this application form. The application form can be filled both online and offline but must be submitted before the deadline. The process of filling the online HPCET form is mentioned in the next section. There are some prescribed conditions and procedures that each of the admission seeking candidates must meet so as to be considered eligible for admission processes.

Qualifying Examination
- Candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
- Candidates must have knowledge of Mathematics and Physics and should have studied the same as a compulsory subject along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects.
- Candidates from General Category should have scored minimum 45 percent aggregate marks in 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Candidates from Reserved category should have secured minimum 40 percent aggregate marks.
Note: Candidates who have passed JEE Mains are eligible for direct examination.
