The GRE General Test at home allows students to take the exam from anywhere in the world. While the exam dates and fees remain the same for this test, there are certain requirements that must be met in order to take the GRE at home.

GRE at Home Requirements
Taking the GRE at home is not as easy as it seems. To take this test at home, your computer and the surrounding environment must meet the requirements mentioned below. Any uncertainty in meeting the requirements might cause a hindrance to the student taking the GRE at home.

How to Begin GRE at Home?
To begin with GRE at home, you will first have to use the ETS GRE at Home test activation link to check in and start the GRE test. You must check in with the test activation link 12 minutes before the scheduled start time or else the test would stay cancelled.
How Will You Be Monitored?
While taking the GRE test at home, you will be monitored throughout the test by the proctor who will walk you through the check-in process. Before starting with the test, you will be required to show your ID, and computer screen through a small mirror or a mobile phone. Then you will have to use your computer camera to show a 360-degree view of the test room.
After Taking the GRE at Home
After finishing the GRE Test at Home, you will be given the option to report or cancel the GRE Scores based on your overall performance. If you choose to report your scores, you will be given access to view your unofficial scores in the Verbal and Quantitative Reasoning sections.
The Analytical Writing scores will not be made available due to the marking process. However, the GRE Scores will be reported to you 10-15 days from the day of the test in your ETS Account.
