Eligibility for Griffith Remarkable Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, it is necessary to meet the following requirements:

  • The student must be an international student and not a citizen of Australia or New Zealand.
  • Minimum GPA in previous studies of 5.5 or above on a 7 point scale or equivalent.
  • Necessary to apply to study an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at Griffith before the scholarship application closing date.
  • Meet the required academic and English language entry requirements for your chosen undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program.
  • To be enrolled as a full time student (40 credit points) starting in Trimester 1, 2 or 3 2022.
  • Students enrolled in programs delivered offshore in collaboration with a partner organisation are not eligible for the scholarship.

  • Students must apply for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree at Griffith University.
  • They need to apply for the scholarship before the closing application date on the university’s official website.
  • At the time of applying make sure you meet the eligibility requirements and include the required documents.

Documents Required While Applying for the Griffith Remarkable Scholarship

  • Certified/attested copy of your education certificates and academic transcripts (translated into English).
  • Certified/attested copy of your English proficiency test results .
  • A Personal Statement. It should address why you have applied for the scholarship, the selected program of study at Griffith University, and any other information to strengthen your application for the scholarship.

Selection Process

  • After submitting your application, the University panel reviews your application and lets you know the outcome.
  • If selected, you will be sent a letter of offer.
  • You are required to accept the offer before the date specified in your letter, otherwise your scholarship will be withdrawn.
  • After the scholarship is awarded it is necessary to follow the ongoing enrolment requirements for the entire course of the program so that the scholarship is not withdrawn.

Benefits of Griffith Remarkable Scholarship

The Griffith Remarkable Scholarship covers 50% of the tuition fees for students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate coursework for the entire duration of the program. The scholarship will be applied prior to the census date of each trimester. You are required to pay the remaining fees, based on your enrollment, by the census date. It is important to follow the ongoing enrollment requirements in order to continue receiving the benefits of the scholarship.

Ongoing Enrollment Requirements 

To maintain scholarship eligibility, students must keep the following points in mind.

  • Students must be enrolled as a full-time student (40CP) in order to receive the tuition fee deduction, unless credit prevents full-time enrolment. 
  • Students in each trimester must pass all the requirements to continue receiving the benefits of the scholarship in the next trimester. 
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 5.5 on a 7.0 point grading scale must be maintained in each trimester.
  • Students cannot change the program in which they were enrolled at the time of receiving the scholarship. The program must remain as stated in the Letter of Offer issued by Griffith International Admissions.
  • If a student withdraws or cancels for any reason, the scholarship amount is non-refundable.

Terms and Condition for Griffith Remarkable Scholarship

  • The academic and English language entry requirements, including results of previous study and English language proficiency are necessary for the scholarship.
  • Only undergraduate or postgraduate coursework students can apply.
  • It is a must that students be International Fee Paying students to qualify for the scholarship and each scholarship deduction. If any student changes the status from an International Fee Paying student, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
  • Scholarship numbers are limited. Once the limit has been reached, the Griffith International Scholarship office will inform the students.
  • Please note that this scholarship cannot be deferred.
