Alonzo Mourning

Born on 8 February, Alonzo Harding Mourning or simply known as Alonzo Mourning is an American professional basketball executive and former player. Often nicknamed as Zo, mourning always played the centre position. Alonzo completed his degree in sociology from Georgetown University in 1992. He started his basketball career at Georgetown University and sharpened his tenacity on defence which helped him win the NBA defensive player of the year award twice. Another amazing achievement of Alonzo includes his comeback after a  kidney transplant and serving as vice president of the player programs and development for the Heat.

Maria Shriver

Another success story from Georgetown University is Maria Shriver who was born on 6 November 1955.
