Rodger Corser

An Australian actor well known for his participation in the main cast of Glitch as John Doe/William Blackburn, Rodger Corser is one of the most famous personalities of all time. Born on 28 February, Corser made big achievements in life including his acting career and being a lead vocalist in the band Stone the Crows. In 1996 he pursued a BA in Media Studies from Deakin University. He was only 16 when he first formed a band called Tender Prey and started playing gigs at various places such as Shoppingtown Hotel, Doncaster, Victoria, etc.

Dave Sharma 

Born on 21 December 1975, Devanand Noel pursued a master’s degree in International Relations from Deakin University while he was working as a public servant for the Department of Foreign Affairs. Devanand Noel or Dave Sharma is another success story from Deakin University. He is famous as an Australian Politician and former Public Servant and Diplomat. His big achievements include being a member of the Liberal Party and Representing the New South Wales of Wentworth. At the age of 37, he was one of Australia’s youngest ambassadors and the second Australian Ambassador of Indian heritage.

Stella Young 

An Australian Comedian, Journalist, and Disability RIght activist born on 24 February 1982, Stella Young made big achievements in life forgetting about the serious medical condition known as osteogenesis imperfecta. Due to her medical condition, she used a wheelchair for most of her life. She pursued a bachelor of arts in journalism and public relations degree from Deakin University and after graduation, she worked as a secondary school teacher.

Brad Swell

Other notable alumni from Deakin University passed with flying colors and became an inspiration. Born on 2 February 1984, Brad Swell is well known as an Australian rules football player who played for the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League. In 2008 Swell became a Premiership Player for Hawthorn as he was outstanding on this day coming 3rd overall in the North Smith Medal votes. Swell pursued a Bachelor of Commerce with a Sport Management Degree from Deakin University which he completed in 2011.
