What is CPGET?

The OUCET Test is also known as CPGET (Common Post Graduate Entrance Test). Every year, Osmania University [Hyderabad] conducts its own entrance test to grant admission to students under various postgraduate and graduate diploma courses.

  • Popular applicable courses are Masters of Arts, MCom, PGD in Geographical Cartography, Masters of Education, Master of Science, etc.
  • Apart from this, OUCET, which is also called Common Postgraduate Entrance Tests [CPGET] offers students an opportunity to enrol in 5-year integrated programs like MBA, MA Economics, MA Political Science, MSC Geology, etc.
  • The above-mentioned courses along with other ones are offered by Osmania University, Mahatma Gandhi University, Telangana University, and other affiliated institutes in the state of Telangana.

Eligibility Criteria

Be it the MCA entrance exams or various MBA entrance exams, a candidate has to satisfy the eligibility criteria set by the university or the institution. Glance through the following points to understand the prerequisites for CPGET: 

Nationality and Domicile

  • The candidate should be of Indian nationality for CPGET. 
  • Applicants must belong to the state of Telangana. But admission is also open to Non-local students too.
  • While 85% of seats are reserved for local students, 15% are for outsiders. 

Educational Qualifications

The Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science/BA/BCom degree with at least 40% aggregate in the final result. Those who have pursued bachelor’s courses apart from the aforementioned ones need to check the eligibility criteria before applying. Further, there is no age limit to appear for CPGET/OUCET

OUCET (CPGET) 2021 Application Form

  • The application has to be submitted in online mode. Candidates should go through all the details before filling out the forms.
  • The next step in the CPGET/OUCET application process is to upload the relevant documents. This includes passport sized pictures, signature, caste certificate, income and PH certificate [if required], and Aadhaar number.
  • Once completed, you can log in by using your registration ID phone number. Take the print out of the fee receipt and application form for future references.

Importance of CPGET 2021 Admit Card

  • Applicants must bring their admit card to the exam center
  • Candidates without admit cards will not be allowed to write OUCET (CPGET) 2021. 
  • The admit card is valid for admission to the year 2021 – 2022 only

Seat Allotment 

For the admissions through OUCET Exam, every year certain seats are allied for local as well as not local aspirants. Along with this certain reservations are made for the reserve categories. Let us take a look at the seat allotment of the OUCET exam 2021-

CPGET Exam Schedule

Since there are multiple courses in the OUCET exams, each will be held on a different date. Here are some of the important details you need to know regarding the exam schedule:

  1. The first exam was on 2nd December 2020.
  2. The last exam was on 14 December 2020
  3. The exams were held in three different slots as 9:30-11, 1-2:30 and 4:30-6.

CPGET Results 

The exams for OUCET have already been held and the date for 2021 is yet to be released. But you can check the results of the exam when they will be available.

  1. You can check the results on the official website of the conducting organisation. The admission and counselling for CPGET 2020 is underway.
  2. Candidates will be admitted to the universities as per their ranks in the exam
  3. The entrance rank cards will also be available on the aforementioned websites
  4. For this rank card, you need to download it and affix your latest passport size photo in the space provided.
  5. The card is mandatory for certificate verification during your admission.

After the result, the counselling has started. The seats will be allotted as per the marks obtained in OUCET.
