BITS HD is conducted by the Birla Institute of Technical Sciences to offer admission to aspirants who wish to pursue master’s degree programs from BITS. It is a national-level exam. Students are selected based on the eligibility criteria specified by the conducting authority. The last date to register for the BITS HD exam was on June 30. BITS HD Important Dates 2021
Here is a list of some important dates that you must know if you are planning to give this exam this year.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria have been prescribed by the conducting body i.e. Birla Institute of Technical Sciences. For candidates who wish to apply for the BITS HD, they must meet the eligibility criteria specified below. The eligibility criteria vary depending upon the course chosen.
- M.Pharm
- M.Phil
- Students must hold an integrated first degree of BITS.
- Additionally, they must have an M.A./ M.Sc. in Humanities and Social Sciences or its equivalent
- Often, certain additional courses are required to be considered eligible for this course.
- M.E
- Students must hold an integrated first degree of BITS.
- This degree must be relevant to the field of M.E. a candidate has applied for.
Application Procedure 2021
Given below is the detailed procedure that candidates must follow for applying for the exam:
- Register through the official site: Students must log on to the official website and apply online. They are required to fill in the required details to get a unique id and password to go further with the application process.
- Application Form: After successful registration, candidates must fill the application form and make the payment of INR 2,200 as specified by the website.
- Print the registration slip – Once the form has been filled, students must make sure they take a printout of the registration slip.

BITS HD Exam Pattern
Before appearing for the exam, candidates must be aware of the exam pattern. To ensure proper evaluation, BITS conducts two exams – Test 1 and Test 2. Check out the exam pattern of both below:
Test 1
- The duration of test 1 is 60 minutes
- Consists of 60 questions
- Considered to be mandatory for all those applying for higher degree programs
- Consists of 4 sections – Maths, Physics, English & Principles of Management and Computer Programming
- Each section consists of 15 questions.
Test 2
- The duration of test 2 is 120 minutes
- Consists of 100 questions
- Questions will be based on previous degrees to test basic knowledge
- It is compulsory for students applying for software programs.

BITS HD Counselling
The BITS HD counseling process is conducted on the basis of marks obtained in BITS HD. To be eligible to appear for the BITS HD counseling, students must keep the below-mentioned documents handy:
- 10th class mark sheet and certificate
- 12th class mark sheet and certificate
- Admit Card
- Graduation Certificate
- Category Certificate (if applicable)
- Income certificate for SC/ ST/ OBC
- Date of Birth Certificate
FAQs
The application fee for the exam is INR 2200.
For every wrong answer, one mark is deducted. However, there is no negative marking for unanswered questions.
The examination date hasn’t been announced yet.
If students prepare well they can secure a good score in the exam as the questions are mostly theoretical and not conceptual.
Candidates will be eligible for admission through the scores in 2021. It will be conducted in an online mode.
