Good news for all students who wish to pursue their higher education from Finland! Study in Finland operated by The Finnish National Agency for Education has released the dates for autumn intakes 2021. Read this article to know about the application deadlines and eligibility for autumn intakes in Finland. 

Finland is known for its top-class education system which offers over 400 English-taught degrees in bachelor’s as well as master’s programs. It houses 13 universities and 22 Applied Science Universities (UAS). That’s not it, the universities in Finland also offer various doctoral degrees (English – taught).

Currently, there are over 20,000 students from different parts of the world studying in Finland. Majority of the universities in Finland offer scholarships to international students.

Application Deadlines for Autumn Intakes in Finland 2021

The joint application for universities in Finland will start from 7th January 2021 and will continue till 20th January 2021. There are two types of application available to apply for Finland universities – Joint application and Separate application.

Joint application means that students can apply for maximum 6 programmes with just one application form. These options can be from any university and you must number these programmes on the basis of your preference. Students will be offered the study place for the Programme students have at the top of their list of preferences.

Separate application means students apply directly to a program of a particular university, so they have to fill a separate form for every Programme and every university. There is no maximum limit to the number of applications a student can fill.

Eligibility Criteria 

In the majority of the cases, students are eligible for the bachelor programs in various universities if they are eligible for higher education in their own country. This means that students need to have a qualification certificate which provides eligibility for higher education. Apart from this, students need to check the language skill requirements and other admission criteria. The eligibility criteria for applying to a Master’s program in Finland is a bachelor degree from a university or UAS.
