About Assam Rifles

Being one of the oldest paramilitary forces in India, the Assam rifles fall directly under the administrative control of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The body came into its existence in 1835 as Cachar Levy and was primarily responsible for safeguarding the tea gardens and fertile plains from the uncouth indigenous tribes of Assam. 

Under the British Raj, ‘Cachar Levy’ expanded from being a minuscule militia group tackling cases of insurgency in the northeastern regions of India to an indomitable force to reckon with. Assam Rifles Exam Pattern 2022

The written examination for the Assam Rifles Recruitment 2022 ( 2 hours long) will be demarcated into four sections.

These are English language, Reasoning Ability, Quantitative Aptitude, and General Awareness. 

• The written examination will be objectively based with 100 multiple-choice questions. 
• Each section will carry 25 questions, and each question will carry one mark. 
• Candidates will have to give the written examination offline.
• General/EWS candidates are required to score at least 35% marks to pass. 
• Candidates belonging to the SC/ST/OBC communities are required to score a minimum score of 33%.marks.
