Eligibility Criteria

For the candidates willing to appear in the AP EDCET 2023, it is necessary to fulfil certain entry requisites specified by the university. Thus, students are advised to carefully go through the essential prerequisites before setting out to fill out the application form. Applicants must be aware of the fact that the official authorities hold the power to cancel the candidature if they found any discrepancy in the details provided. Below mentioned are the eligibility criteria for this exam:

General Criteria

  • Age Limit: As on July 1 2020, the minimum age of the applicant must be 19 years and there is no set maximum age for the exam.
  • The candidate must be a citizen of India and a resident of Andhra Pradesh.

Educational Requirements

  • The applicants submitting the form for AP EDCET must have passed/or pursuing an undergraduate-level program like BA, BSc, BSc (Home Science), BCom, BBM or BCA. It is also mandatory for candidates to present proof of their marks (previous exams) and pass certificate at the time of admission
  • At least 50% marks in graduation or postgraduation or 5 years integrated program in the relevant field of methodology or an equivalent degree
  • Those belonging to the reserved category must have at least 40% marks in their graduation or postgraduation.

Mathematics B.A/B.Sc. with Mathematics or B.C.A. with Mathematics at intermediate level as a group subject. B.Tech with Mathematics & Physics
Physical Sciences B.Sc. with Physics and Chemistry or Allied Material Sciences under Part-II group subjects or B.C.A. with Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) at intermediate level as group subject.
Biological Sciences B.Sc./B.Sc.(Home Science) with Botany and Zoology or Allied Life Sciences under Part-II group subjects or B.C.A. with Biological Sciences at intermediate level as group subject.
Social Studies B.A./B.Com./B.B.M. or B.C.A. with Social Sciences at intermediate level.
English B.A Special English or M.A. English

IMPORTANT: The candidates with a BTech/ BE degree with minimum 50% marks can also appear in the examination.

Exam Pattern

To shortlist the best young minds for a responsible profession like teaching, the format of the paper is intricately designed. The exam is conducted in two languages i.e., English and Telegu and it can taken in the Urdu as well. AP EDCET is conducted in online mode and with a maximum duration of 2 hours. Step 1: Click on the application link and you can make the fee payment online through this option.

Step 2: Candidates can check the Success/Failure status of fee payment

Step-3: Now, you can fill out the Application form. After filling out the online Application form with the required details, do verify all the details carefully and press the Submit button.

Step 4: After pressing the submit button, the application form will be generated which contains the registration number along with filled-in details. Candidates can print the submitted form for future correspondence.
