She worked in the advertising department at JWT India for around 17 years and eventually became vice-president and executive creative director. As an executive advertiser, Anuja Chauhan gave some of the most famous taglines like, ’Darr ke aage jeet hai’ (Mountain Dew) and ‘Tedha hai par mera hai’ (Kurkure). In 2010, she resigned from this job so as to pursue a full-time career in writing and literacy. Over the years she has worked with top-leading brands like Mountain-Dew, Kurkure, Pepsi and a lot more. Anuja Chauhan, a lady with beauty with a brain, took birth in the Rajput family, situated in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, Chauhan since her childhood days spent most of her initial years in various cantonment towns located in North India as her father served in an Indian Army. Her father took early retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel and thereafter migrated to Australia. She is the youngest one of four sisters namely, Padmini, Rohini, Nandini and Anuja.
She has been a student of the Army Public School, New Delhi, Sophia Girls Convent, Meerut Cantonment and Delhi Public School, New Delhi. She completed her bachelors in economics from Miranda House, Delhi Universit Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology stood as a success pillar in Deepa’s life as it was the institute through which she completed her postgraduate diploma in mass communication.

Personal Life
In 1994 Chauhan got married to Niret Alva, the television presenter and producer who is the co-founder and chairman of television production company Miditech. He has produced popular reality shows like Indian Idol for Sony, Perfect Bride for Star Plus and the most famous of recent time ‘Roadies’ for MTV. They have three children (2 daughters and 1 son) and the whole family resides in Gurgaon.
