AISSEE

All India Sainik School Entrance Exam is organized by NTA (National Testing Agency). All India Sainik School Entrance Examination, popularly known as AISSEE, is conducted in the offline mode, for admission to class VI and IX. The selection process consists of a written test followed by a medical exam, students have to qualify in both for being eligible for admission. AISSEE Reservations

  • 15% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes.
  • 7.5% of the total seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes.
  • 67% of the seats remaining are for students from the state.
  • 33% of the seats are for students of other states and UTs.
  • 25% of the seats are for children of service staff.

Application Fee

The application fee for the AISSEE is given below:

General and Defence Category – Rs.550
SC/ST Category – Rs.400

AISSEE Eligibility Criteria

There is a minimum basic eligibility criterion for students who wish to apply for Sainik Schools – Only boys are allowed to apply for admission and the other criteria is mentioned in the final notification. Besides these, there are certain other eligibility guidelines issued by Sainik Schools for admission purposes.

Eligibility for Admission to Class 6

The age of boys should be between 10 to 12 as of March 31, 2021.
Candidates must have completed class V from any recognized board.

Eligibility for Admission to Class 9

Age of boys should be between 13 to 14 as on March 31, 2021.
Candidates must have completed class VIII from any recognized board.

How to Apply for AISSEE

Candidates are requested to follow certain given steps for filling up the AISSEE form.

  • Online Registration– Log on to the official website and Apply Online. Fill in the required details to get a unique id and password to go further with the application process.
  • Upload photograph and digital signature in the required size and format.
  • Online Payment of Fees– Upon successful completion of the above-mentioned steps, candidates should pay an application fee for completing the online Sainik School Admission procedure.
  • Candidates are then requested to upload all the important documents that are asked for. Like scanned copies of the Birth Certificate, Domicile Certificate, and Caste certificate and the format should be .jpg, .png, .pdf.
  • After completing the above steps, a confirmation page is generated and candidates are requested to download that page.

AISSEE Syllabus 2023

The AISSEE syllabus is prescribed by the Sainik School Society. The syllabus is based on topics covered by CBSE in classes V and VIII respectively.

AISSEE Class VI Syllabus

  •  The Mathematics (Arithmetic) paper includes addition, subtraction, multiplication and division of numbers, fractions and decimals
  •  The English paper includes composition, tenses, synonyms and antonyms

  • Civics

Preparation Tips

  • Candidates must check the syllabus carefully before preparing for the examination:
  • Candidates must start preparing for the exam, at least 3-4 months before the exam date. 
  • Candidates must attempt as many mock tests as possible and also solve the previous years’ question papers.
  • Candidates must not learn new topics a week before the exam.
  • Candidates must make sure all their doubts are cleared with the best books and they must keep practicing.
