Overview
The AILET exam is conducted by National Law University, Delhi once a year for a total of 80 seats out of which 70 seats are awarded to meritorious students. The rest of the 10 seats are reserved for Foreign Nationals and Overseas Citizen of India, who are exempted from this test. The medium of examination is English and the duration of the examination is 1 hour 30 minutes. The university also promotes the equal right to education across the gender boundaries, hence, a minimum of 30% seats are reserved deserving women candidates across all categories.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to qualify for this exam, you need to fulfil the following eligibility requirements:
- Candidates need to have completed your senior secondary examination or its equivalent from a recognized board.
- Students who are in their 12th standard can also apply for the exam.
- Candidates belonging to the general category need to score a minimum of 50% in this exam in order to become eligible for admission while students hailing from SC/ST background need a minimum of 40% marks in the AILET exam.

AILET Exam Scheme
The AILET exam is designed in such a manner that it tests your knowledge of Science and Law, analytical and reasoning skills as well as English language proficiency. General Science and Social Sciences are also an important element of the exam syllabus. Reasoning is a skill without which you cannot progress in this particular facet, so, if you are weak at logical reasoning, it is time for you to begin working upon it. Lastly, brushing your basic mathematical concepts can also accelerate your preparation.
A total of 150 questions are asked in the AILET exam. For each right answer, you are awarded 1 mark whereas there is a negative marking for the questions answered wrongly. So, for each wrong answer, 0.25 marks would be deducted thus leading to the reduction of 1 mark when you answer 4 questions wrongly.

AILET 2022 Admit Card
The AILET 2022 admit card will be available online at NLU Delhi. By login onto the admission portal with their registration ID and password, applicants who have enrolled for the exam will be able to download their AILET 2022 admit card.
The admission card is a vital document that contains information such as the candidate’s roll number, exam centre name and address, exam date and timings, and exam day instructions for AILET 2022.
